Taqi al-Din Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn Abd al-Khaliq al-Sa'igh of Egypt, a Shafi'i, held the highest chains of his age. Born in Jumada al-Ula 636 AH, he read the twelve readings twice with al-Kamal Ibn Faris according to many books. He taught in Egypt to crowds of students, among them Ibn al-Baghdadi al-Wasiti. He died in Egypt in Safar 725 AH.
