Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn Harun, Abu Bakr al-Razi of Baghdad, was a skilled and reliable reader. He read with al-Fadl ibn Shadhan and Hasnun ibn al-Haytham. Abu al-Faraj al-Shanabudhi (al-Shatawi) and Abd al-Baqi ibn al-Hasan read with him. He died after 330 AH.
