Kamal al-Din Abu Ishaq Ibrahim ibn Ahmad ibn Faris al-Tamimi al-Iskandarani, son of the vizier Najib al-Din, born 596 AH. He read with Abu al-Yumn al-Kindi and, as one of his last surviving students, was sought out by learners, though some avoided him because of his government clerkship. He died in 676 AH.
