One of the Ten Readers, from Medina. He read with 'Abd Allah ibn 'Abbas, Abu Hurayra and his patron 'Abd Allah ibn 'Ayyash; his reading was transmitted by 'Isa ibn Wardan and Sulayman ibn Jammaz, and he died in Medina.
