Al-Mutaffifin opens on a warning to people who take full measure and give short, then turns that small dishonesty into the whole of the hereafter: two registers, two destinations, and a reversal of who is laughing at whom.
At this pace the whole surah takes 12 study days.
Study days are days you actually sit down to memorise — miss one and the plan simply moves with you.
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ وَيْلٌۭ لِّلْمُطَفِّفِينَ…يَوْمَ يَقُومُ ٱلنَّاسُ لِرَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
Full measure taken and short measure given — and the day mankind stands before the Lord of all worlds.
Study days 1-2
كَلَّآ إِنَّ كِتَٰبَ ٱلْفُجَّارِ لَفِى سِجِّينٍۢ…ثُمَّ يُقَالُ هَٰذَا ٱلَّذِى كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ
Sijjin, the denier described, and the rust their earnings left on their hearts.
Study days 3-6
كَلَّآ إِنَّ كِتَٰبَ ٱلْأَبْرَارِ لَفِى عِلِّيِّينَ…عَيْنًۭا يَشْرَبُ بِهَا ٱلْمُقَرَّبُونَ
'Illiyyun, the sealed wine, and the spring of Tasnim the near ones drink from.
Study days 6-10
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ أَجْرَمُوا۟ كَانُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ يَضْحَكُونَ…هَلْ ثُوِّبَ ٱلْكُفَّارُ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَفْعَلُونَ
Those who mocked the believers in this world, and the day the believers look on from their couches.
Study days 10-12
The surah begins with a shopkeeper's ounce and ends with the sealed wine of Paradise, which is the distance the Qur'an regularly puts between a small act and its consequence.
