Shihadha al-Yamani, the leading reciter of his time in Egypt, named after the village of Kafr al-Yaman in Qalyubiyya. He read the readings with Nasir al-Din al-Tablawi and taught at al-Azhar. His students included his son Abd al-Rahman al-Yamani, Sayf al-Din al-Fudali and Ahmad al-Sunbati. He died after performing the Hajj, as he was leaving Medina.
