A trustworthy Baghdadi reader who read Nafi's reading with Abu Hassan Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn al-Ash'ath and heard hadith from Idris ibn Abd al-Karim al-Haddad and Musa ibn Harun. Faris ibn Ahmad and Abd al-Baqi ibn al-Hasan read with him. He was born around 260 AH and died in 344 AH.
