Shaykh Shahadha al-Yamani was a tenth-century-AH Egyptian reciter, named after the village of Kafr al-Yaman in Qalyubiyya. He read the readings with Nasir al-Din Muhammad ibn Salim al-Tablawi, and taught his son Abd al-Rahman al-Yamani, later head of the reciters of Egypt, as well as Sayf al-Din al-Fudali al-Basir. He died after performing the Hajj, as he was leaving Medina, and was buried there.
