Biography

Fakhr al-Din Abu al-Hasan Ibn al-Bukhari, a Hanbali hadith transmitter of al-Salihiyya, Damascus, who lived to 95 and was called 'musnid of the world' by al-Dhahabi for his high chains. Ibn al-Jawzi and others gave him licences, he narrated for some sixty years in Damascus, Egypt and Baghdad, Ibn al-Zahiri compiled his mashyakha, and he died in Damascus.
