Abu Ali al-Hasan ibn Ahmad ibn al-Hasan al-Isbahani al-Haddad was a Qur'an reader and leading transmitter of Isfahan. He read the readings with several teachers, among them Ahmad ibn al-Fadl al-Batirqani and Ibn Yazdah, and many transmitted from him, including Abu al-Makarim al-Labban and al-Silafi. Born in Sha'ban 419 AH, he died in Dhu al-Hijja 515 AH, close to a hundred years old.
