Yunus is a surah of certainty about a fixed appointment: it argues that people ask for the punishment to be hurried and would beg for delay if it came, and that this life is like rain that makes a field beautiful the night before it is cut.
At this pace the whole surah takes 37 study days.
Study days are days you actually sit down to memorise — miss one and the plan simply moves with you.
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ الٓر ۚ تِلْكَ ءَايَٰتُ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ…كَلِمَتُ رَبِّكَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ فَسَقُوٓا۟ أَنَّهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
That a man among them was inspired; the sun and moon reckoned; the parable of the rain and the harvest — and the home of peace.
Study days 1-11
قُلْ هَلْ مِن شُرَكَآئِكُم مَّن يَبْدَؤُا۟ ٱلْخَلْقَ ثُمَّ…مَرْجِعُهُمْ ثُمَّ نُذِيقُهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابَ ٱلشَّدِيدَ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَكْفُرُونَ
This Qur'an could not have been produced by other than Allah; a healing for what is in the breasts; and: say, in the bounty of Allah — in that let them rejoice.
Study days 12-24
وَٱتْلُ عَلَيْهِمْ نَبَأَ نُوحٍ إِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِۦ يَٰقَوْمِ…يَقْضِى بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ فِيمَا كَانُوا۟ فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ
The people gathered against Nuh; the magicians of Pharaoh; and the words spoken as the water closed — 'now?', when you had disobeyed before.
Study days 24-31
فَإِن كُنتَ فِى شَكٍّۢ مِّمَّآ أَنزَلْنَآ إِلَيْكَ فَسْـَٔلِ…إِلَيْكَ وَٱصْبِرْ حَتَّىٰ يَحْكُمَ ٱللَّهُ ۚ وَهُوَ خَيْرُ ٱلْحَٰكِمِينَ
The one town that believed and was spared; had your Lord willed, everyone on earth would have believed — so would you compel people?
Study days 32-37
It names the one town whose people believed in time and were spared — the people of Yunus — as the exception that proves how rare it is.
