At-Tawbah is the only surah that does not begin with the Basmala, and it deals with the end of treaties, the campaign to Tabuk, and the people who found reasons not to go. It ends with the three who were truthful about having no excuse.
At this pace the whole surah takes 43 study days.
Study days are days you actually sit down to memorise — miss one and the plan simply moves with you.
بَرَآءَةٌۭ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦٓ إِلَى ٱلَّذِينَ عَٰهَدتُّم مِّنَ…ٱلْكِتَٰبَ حَتَّىٰ يُعْطُوا۟ ٱلْجِزْيَةَ عَن يَدٍۢ وَهُمْ صَٰغِرُونَ
Four months given; the sacred months; and the maintenance of the Sacred Mosque is not for those who bear witness against themselves.
Study days 1-10
وَقَالَتِ ٱلْيَهُودُ عُزَيْرٌ ٱبْنُ ٱللَّهِ وَقَالَتِ ٱلنَّصَٰرَى ٱلْمَسِيحُ…لَخَرَجْنَا مَعَكُمْ يُهْلِكُونَ أَنفُسَهُمْ وَٱللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ إِنَّهُمْ لَكَٰذِبُونَ
Those who take their scholars as lords; the wealth stored and not spent; and: what is wrong with you that you cling heavily to the earth?
Study days 10-14
عَفَا ٱللَّهُ عَنكَ لِمَ أَذِنتَ لَهُمْ حَتَّىٰ يَتَبَيَّنَ…فَمَا كَانَ ٱللَّهُ لِيَظْلِمَهُمْ وَلَٰكِن كَانُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ
Those who asked to be exempted; the mosque built to cause harm; and: they swear by Allah to please you, when Allah and His Messenger are more deserving.
Study days 15-24
وَٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنَٰتُ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَآءُ بَعْضٍۢ ۚ يَأْمُرُونَ بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ…سَيُدْخِلُهُمُ ٱللَّهُ فِى رَحْمَتِهِۦٓ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٌۭ رَّحِيمٌۭ
Enjoining good and forbidding wrong; the desert Arabs, some of whom take what they spend as a loss and some as nearness to Allah.
Study days 24-33
وَٱلسَّٰبِقُونَ ٱلْأَوَّلُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُهَٰجِرِينَ وَٱلْأَنصَارِ وَٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّبَعُوهُم بِإِحْسَٰنٍۢ…إِلَّا هُوَ ۖ عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ ۖ وَهُوَ رَبُّ ٱلْعَرْشِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ
The foremost among the emigrants and the helpers; the earth closing in on those three despite its vastness — and the closing verses on the Messenger's concern for you.
Study days 34-43
The three who stayed behind and admitted it were boycotted for fifty nights and then forgiven; the ones who lied were left alone — the surah treats the lie as the graver matter.
