Ash-Shu'ara is 227 verses built on a repeated frame: seven messengers, each rejected by his people with almost the same words, each followed by the same two lines. Once you hear the frame, the length stops being the difficulty.
At this pace the whole surah takes 76 study days.
Study days are days you actually sit down to memorise — miss one and the plan simply moves with you.
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ طسٓمٓ…وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
Grieving that they do not believe; a sign could be sent that would bend their necks — but no reminder comes without them turning away.
Study days 1-3
وَإِذْ نَادَىٰ رَبُّكَ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنِ ٱئْتِ ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ…وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
The fear of a tongue that stumbles, the debate in the court, the magicians who believed, and the parting of the sea.
Study days 4-23
وَٱتْلُ عَلَيْهِمْ نَبَأَ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ…وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
What do you worship? — and the prayer for a sound heart on the day neither wealth nor sons benefit.
Study days 23-35
كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ…وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
Nuh, Hud, Salih, Lut and Shu'ayb — each: 'will you not fear Allah? I am a trustworthy messenger to you.'
Study days 35-64
وَإِنَّهُۥ لَتَنزِيلُ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ…مَا ظُلِمُوا۟ ۗ وَسَيَعْلَمُ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوٓا۟ أَىَّ مُنقَلَبٍۢ يَنقَلِبُونَ
On your heart in clear Arabic; devils could not have brought it — and the poets whom the astray follow.
Study days 64-76
The repeated closing — 'most of them were not believers' — is what makes the surah bearable for a man being rejected in Makkah, which is where it was revealed.
