Al-Qasas tells the part of Musa's life the other surahs skip: the basket on the river, the mother's empty heart, the man he killed by accident, the years in Madyan, and — at the far end — Qarun, who was destroyed by wealth rather than by a throne.
At this pace the whole surah takes 30 study days.
Study days are days you actually sit down to memorise — miss one and the plan simply moves with you.
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ طسٓمٓ…خَآئِفًۭا يَتَرَقَّبُ ۖ قَالَ رَبِّ نَجِّنِى مِنَ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
The basket, the mother's heart made empty, the sister following at a distance, the man struck down, and the warning from the far side of the city.
Study days 1-7
وَلَمَّا تَوَجَّهَ تِلْقَآءَ مَدْيَنَ قَالَ عَسَىٰ رَبِّىٓ أَن…فَلَا عُدْوَٰنَ عَلَىَّ ۖ وَٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ مَا نَقُولُ وَكِيلٌۭ
The two women held back from the water, the watering done for them, the prayer under the shade, and the ten years agreed.
Study days 8-10
فَلَمَّا قَضَىٰ مُوسَى ٱلْأَجَلَ وَسَارَ بِأَهْلِهِۦٓ ءَانَسَ مِن…هَٰذِهِ ٱلدُّنْيَا لَعْنَةًۭ ۖ وَيَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ هُم مِّنَ ٱلْمَقْبُوحِينَ
The staff, the white hand, the request for Harun's tongue, and Haman told to build a tower.
Study days 10-14
وَلَقَدْ ءَاتَيْنَا مُوسَى ٱلْكِتَٰبَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَآ أَهْلَكْنَا…وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَهْدِى مَن يَشَآءُ ۚ وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِٱلْمُهْتَدِينَ
The Book given to Musa; those who recognise the truth and say we were Muslims before it — and: you do not guide whom you love.
Study days 15-19
وَقَالُوٓا۟ إِن نَّتَّبِعِ ٱلْهُدَىٰ مَعَكَ نُتَخَطَّفْ مِنْ أَرْضِنَآ…شَىْءٍ هَالِكٌ إِلَّا وَجْهَهُۥ ۚ لَهُ ٱلْحُكْمُ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ
Keys too heavy for a company of strong men, the wish of those who envied him, the earth swallowing him — and the last home.
Study days 19-30
Placing Pharaoh and Qarun in one surah is the point: one had power and one had money, and the surah closes by saying the last home is for those who want neither.
