Al-Qalam swears by the pen, defends the Prophet against the charge of madness, lists the nine traits of the man who opposed him, and then tells the story of the orchard owners who went out at dawn to harvest without saying 'if Allah wills'.
At this pace the whole surah takes 18 study days.

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ نٓ ۚ وَٱلْقَلَمِ وَمَا يَسْطُرُونَ…سَنَسِمُهُۥ عَلَى ٱلْخُرْطُومِ
You are not mad; yours is a great character — and the nine marks of the one who swears much and slanders.
Study days 1-6
إِنَّا بَلَوْنَٰهُمْ كَمَا بَلَوْنَآ أَصْحَٰبَ ٱلْجَنَّةِ إِذْ أَقْسَمُوا۟…كَذَٰلِكَ ٱلْعَذَابُ ۖ وَلَعَذَابُ ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ أَكْبَرُ ۚ لَوْ كَانُوا۟ يَعْلَمُونَ
They swore to harvest at dawn and made no exception; they found it stripped, and the most balanced among them said: did I not tell you?
Study days 6-11
إِنَّ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ جَنَّٰتِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ…وَمَا هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرٌۭ لِّلْعَٰلَمِينَ
Are the Muslims to be made like the criminals? — the summons to prostrate, and the warning of the man of the fish.
Study days 12-18
The orchard story is placed directly after the description of the wealthy opponent — the surah answers arrogance with an example rather than an argument.
