Al-Mulk is thirty verses recited nightly by many who never memorise anything longer, and it is built as a single sustained argument: the One who owns the dominion made death and life a test, and every proof offered is something the listener can check by looking up or looking down.
At this pace the whole surah takes 10 study days.
Study days are days you actually sit down to memorise — miss one and the plan simply moves with you.
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ تَبَٰرَكَ ٱلَّذِى بِيَدِهِ ٱلْمُلْكُ…بِمَصَٰبِيحَ وَجَعَلْنَٰهَا رُجُومًۭا لِّلشَّيَٰطِينِ ۖ وَأَعْتَدْنَا لَهُمْ عَذَابَ ٱلسَّعِيرِ
Death and life created as a test, seven heavens without flaw, and the challenge to look again.
Study days 1-2
وَلِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ بِرَبِّهِمْ عَذَابُ جَهَنَّمَ ۖ وَبِئْسَ ٱلْمَصِيرُ…فَٱمْشُوا۟ فِى مَنَاكِبِهَا وَكُلُوا۟ مِن رِّزْقِهِۦ ۖ وَإِلَيْهِ ٱلنُّشُورُ
What the people of the Fire are asked, their answer, and the earth made subdued underfoot for those who walk it.
Study days 2-5
ءَأَمِنتُم مَّن فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ أَن يَخْسِفَ بِكُمُ ٱلْأَرْضَ…وَجْهِهِۦٓ أَهْدَىٰٓ أَمَّن يَمْشِى سَوِيًّا عَلَىٰ صِرَٰطٍۢ مُّسْتَقِيمٍۢ
Two questions about the One above, the birds spreading and folding their wings, and the man walking face-down.
Study days 6-8
قُلْ هُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنشَأَكُمْ وَجَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلسَّمْعَ وَٱلْأَبْصَٰرَ…إِنْ أَصْبَحَ مَآؤُكُمْ غَوْرًۭا فَمَن يَأْتِيكُم بِمَآءٍۢ مَّعِينٍۭ
The faculties given and rarely thanked, and the closing question: if your water sank away, who would bring it?
Study days 8-10
Twice the surah asks what would happen if the water sank into the ground or the birds stopped holding themselves up — the point being that nothing you rely on is holding itself.
