Al-Muddaththir carries the command that started the public mission — arise and warn — and then follows one man who heard the Qur'an, admitted to himself that it was overwhelming, and called it magic anyway.
At this pace the whole surah takes 19 study days.
Study days are days you actually sit down to memorise — miss one and the plan simply moves with you.
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْمُدَّثِّرُ…عَلَى ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ غَيْرُ يَسِيرٍۢ
Magnify your Lord, purify your garments, shun defilement, and do not give expecting more in return.
Study days 1-4
ذَرْنِى وَمَنْ خَلَقْتُ وَحِيدًۭا…رَبِّكَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۚ وَمَا هِىَ إِلَّا ذِكْرَىٰ لِلْبَشَرِ
Wealth and sons in his presence, then he thought and measured — and Saqar, over which are nineteen.
Study days 4-11
كَلَّا وَٱلْقَمَرِ…أَن يَشَآءَ ٱللَّهُ ۚ هُوَ أَهْلُ ٱلتَّقْوَىٰ وَأَهْلُ ٱلْمَغْفِرَةِ
The oath by the moon and the dawn; the answer of the guilty — we did not pray, did not feed the poor — and their flight from a reminder.
Study days 11-19
The surah shows him thinking, deciding, frowning and scowling before he speaks, which is the Qur'an's answer to the idea that rejection is ever purely intellectual.
