Al-Masad is the only surah that names a living opponent, and it declared his end years before he died — a prediction he could have falsified at any moment by professing Islam, and never did.
At this pace the whole surah takes 2 study days.
Study days are days you actually sit down to memorise — miss one and the plan simply moves with you.
Ruined are the hands of Abu Lahab; his wealth and what he earned availed him nothing — he will burn in a flaming fire.
Study days 1-1
The carrier of firewood, with a rope of twisted palm fibre around her neck.
Study days 2-2
His wealth is mentioned because it was his argument: the surah says plainly that it availed him nothing.
A short walk through all 2 sections of this surah, in the order you will memorise them.
