Al-Jathiyah is a surah of signs and records: signs in your own creation and in the animals spread about, in the alternation of night and day and in the ships — and then a book that speaks against you, and every nation kneeling.
At this pace the whole surah takes 13 study days.
Study days are days you actually sit down to memorise — miss one and the plan simply moves with you.
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ حمٓ…جَمِيعًۭا مِّنْهُ ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَٰتٍۢ لِّقَوْمٍۢ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ
In the heavens and earth, in your own creation, in the animals scattered, in the alternation of night and day, and in the ships and the rain.
Study days 1-5
قُل لِّلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ يَغْفِرُوا۟ لِلَّذِينَ لَا يَرْجُونَ أَيَّامَ…لَا رَيْبَ فِيهِ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
The Children of Israel given the Book and differing only after knowledge came; and their claim that there is nothing but this life.
Study days 5-9
وَلِلَّهِ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ وَيَوْمَ تَقُومُ ٱلسَّاعَةُ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ…وَلَهُ ٱلْكِبْرِيَآءُ فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۖ وَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ
Called to its record; this is Our book, which speaks against you in truth — for We were recording everything you did.
Study days 9-13
It names the man who takes his own desire as his god and is left astray knowingly — the surah's account of how a person can be sealed while fully aware.
