Al-Ghashiyah is built as a pair of portraits — faces humbled and exhausted, then faces at ease — followed by four things to look at: the camel, the sky, the mountains, the earth. Two halves, easy to hold apart.
At this pace the whole surah takes 9 study days.
Study days are days you actually sit down to memorise — miss one and the plan simply moves with you.
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ هَلْ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ ٱلْغَٰشِيَةِ…لَّا يُسْمِنُ وَلَا يُغْنِى مِن جُوعٍۢ
Labouring and exhausted, entering a scorching fire, with no food but a bitter thorn.
Study days 1-3
وُجُوهٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ نَّاعِمَةٌۭ…وَزَرَابِىُّ مَبْثُوثَةٌ
Pleased with their striving, in a lofty garden where no idle talk is heard, with cups set and cushions laid out.
Study days 3-6
أَفَلَا يَنظُرُونَ إِلَى ٱلْإِبِلِ كَيْفَ خُلِقَتْ…ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا حِسَابَهُم
The camel, the sky raised, the mountains fixed and the earth spread — then remind, for you are not their controller.
Study days 6-9
After all of it the Prophet is told he is only a reminder, not a controller, which sets the limit of what any teacher of this religion is responsible for.
