Al-Fajr swears by the dawn and the ten nights, recalls three civilisations that were destroyed, exposes what men actually do with wealth and hardship, and ends with the only invitation in the Qur'an addressed to a soul at rest.
At this pace the whole surah takes 10 study days.

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ وَٱلْفَجْرِ…هَلْ فِى ذَٰلِكَ قَسَمٌۭ لِّذِى حِجْرٍ
By the dawn, ten nights, the even and the odd, and the night as it passes — an oath for one who has sense.
Study days 1-2
أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِعَادٍ…إِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَبِٱلْمِرْصَادِ
'Ad of the lofty pillars, Thamud who carved the rocks, and Pharaoh of the stakes — your Lord is ever watchful.
Study days 2-5
فَأَمَّا ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ إِذَا مَا ٱبْتَلَىٰهُ رَبُّهُۥ فَأَكْرَمَهُۥ وَنَعَّمَهُۥ…وَتُحِبُّونَ ٱلْمَالَ حُبًّۭا جَمًّۭا
The test misread in both directions, and the real charge: the orphan, the poor, the inheritance, the love of wealth.
Study days 5-7
كَلَّآ إِذَا دُكَّتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ دَكًّۭا دَكًّۭا…وَٱدْخُلِى جَنَّتِى
The earth pounded, the Fire brought near, remembrance too late — and the call to return, pleased and pleasing.
Study days 7-10
The complaint is not poverty but treatment of the orphan and the poor — the surah reads a man's wealth by what happens to the people around him.
