Al-Buruj tells of a people burned alive in a trench for no crime except believing, and then addresses the Muslims being tortured in Makkah with the same message: the ones with the fire are not the ones in control.
At this pace the whole surah takes 8 study days.
Study days are days you actually sit down to memorise — miss one and the plan simply moves with you.
The fire with its fuel, those who sat over it as witnesses, and what they resented: that they believed in Allah.
Study days 1-4
Pharaoh and Thamud recalled, the attributes of the Forgiving and Loving, and a glorious Qur'an in a preserved tablet.
Study days 4-8
The surah does not promise that the believers in the trench were saved — it says the ones who burned them are the losers, which is a harder and more honest comfort.
A short walk through all 2 sections of this surah, in the order you will memorise them.
Book a first lesson with a Quran teacher and bring this schedule with you. Many of our teachers offer that first lesson free.
