Ad-Dukhan opens on a blessed night in which every wise matter is decided, warns of a smoke that will cover people, and then recalls Pharaoh's drowning — and how neither the sky nor the earth wept for him.
At this pace the whole surah takes 20 study days.
Study days are days you actually sit down to memorise — miss one and the plan simply moves with you.
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ حمٓ…يَوْمَ نَبْطِشُ ٱلْبَطْشَةَ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰٓ إِنَّا مُنتَقِمُونَ
Every wise matter distinguished in it; and the day the sky brings a visible smoke and they ask for the punishment to be lifted.
Study days 1-6
وَلَقَدْ فَتَنَّا قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمَ فِرْعَوْنَ وَجَآءَهُمْ رَسُولٌۭ كَرِيمٌ…وَءَاتَيْنَٰهُم مِّنَ ٱلْءَايَٰتِ مَا فِيهِ بَلَٰٓؤٌۭا۟ مُّبِينٌ
The demand to hand over the servants of Allah; the sea left parted; and the sky and the earth that did not weep for them.
Study days 6-11
إِنَّ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ لَيَقُولُونَ…فَٱرْتَقِبْ إِنَّهُم مُّرْتَقِبُونَ
The tree of Zaqqum, the day no relative avails another, and the God-fearing in a secure place — and the Qur'an made easy in your tongue.
Study days 12-20
The surah says creation was not made in play, and repeats it: everything in it is an argument against the idea that the world has no verdict at its end.
