Abu al-Hasan Ahmad ibn Yazid ibn Yazdadh al-Halwani was a leading Qur'an reciter of the third Hijri century. He travelled to Madinah, Makkah and Kufa to learn the readings, reading with Qalun, Hisham ibn Ammar and others. His students included al-Hasan ibn al-Abbas al-Jammal and al-Fadl ibn Shadhan. He died in the 250s AH.
