A Baghdadi judge and Qur'an reader, Abu Bakr al-Anazi, known as Abu Hassan, regarded as a reliable and precise authority in the reading of Qalun. He read to Abu Nashit Muhammad ibn Harun, Qalun's student, and his own students included Ibn Shanabudh and Ahmad ibn Uthman ibn Buyan. He died before 300 AH.
