Abu al-Husayn Ahmad ibn Uthman ibn Buyan, a trustworthy Baghdadi Qur'an reader of Khurasani origin. He took Qalun's transmission from Abu Hassan Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn al-Ash'ath among other teachers. His students included Ibrahim ibn Umar al-Baghdadi and al-Daraqutni.
