Fakhr al-Din Abu al-Hasan Ali ibn Ahmad al-Maqdisi, known as Ibn al-Bukhari, was a Hanbali hadith transmitter of al-Salihiyya in Damascus. He heard from Ibn Tabarzad and Abu al-Yumn al-Kindi among others and, living to about 95, became the leading transmitter of his age; al-Hasan ibn Ahmad ibn Hilal al-Salihi was among his many students. He lived from 595 to 690 AH.
