Sharaf al-Din Abd al-Haqq ibn Muhammad al-Sunbati was an Egyptian Shafi'i scholar from Sunbat. He studied with Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani, al-Sakhawi and Zakariyya al-Ansari, and served as imam and teacher at several Cairo institutions, including al-Azhar. Born in 842 AH, he died in Mecca in Ramadan 931 AH and was buried in al-Ma'la.
