Biographie

Uthman ibn Hasan al-Dimyati was a Shafi'i jurist and Azhar teacher. He came to Cairo in 1212 AH, studied at al-Azhar and received an ijaza from Muhammad al-Amir al-Kabir, then moved to Mecca in 1248 AH and taught in the Haram, where Ahmad Zayni Dahlan studied with him. He died in Mecca and was buried in al-Ma'la.
