Abd al-Rahman al-Dahhan was a Meccan scholar who memorised the Qur'an with tajwid, taught at the Sawlatiyya school and headed the Sulaymaniyya school. He was appointed a judge of the Sharia court in Mecca and sat on its council for Sharia penalties, and died in Mecca.
