The senior reciter of Alexandria in his time, who read the ten major readings under Shaykh Muhammad Abd al-Rahman al-Khaliji and was licensed by him in 1374 AH. He lived in Riyadh from 1421 to 1424 AH, granting about two hundred licences there; his students include Ahmad Khalil Shahin and Abdullah ibn Salih al-Ubayd.
