Biography

A trustworthy and respected Baghdad scholar who heard from teachers in Baghdad, Mecca, Egypt and Ramla, among them Ibn Shadhan and Uthman ibn Dust, and travelled as far as the Maghrib. His sons, including the hadith scholar Abd al-Khaliq al-Yusufi, transmitted from him.
