Abu Bakr Ahmad ibn Musa ibn Mujahid al-Tamimi was the leading Qur'an reader of Baghdad in his age. He read with Qunbul, Ibn Abdus and others, taught very large circles (al-Daraqutni among those who took from him), and wrote Kitab al-Sab'a fi al-Qira'at, which fixed the canon of the seven readers. He died in Baghdad.
