Abu Muhammad Rizq Allah ibn Abd al-Wahhab al-Tamimi was the leading Hanbali jurist of Baghdad in his time, born in 400 or 401 AH. He read the Qur'an in the seven readings with Abu al-Hasan al-Hammami, studied law with his father and uncle, and served as an envoy of the caliph. Ibn Tahir al-Maqdisi and Isma'il al-Taymi were among those who narrated from him. He died in Baghdad in 488 AH and was later reburied beside Imam Ahmad.
