An Egyptian reciter from Abyar near Kafr al-Zayyat (Gharbia) who read the Ten Major Readings with Yusuf Ajur. His best-known pupil was Muhammad Hilali al-Abyari, and he wrote Ghayth al-Rahman, a commentary on Hibat al-Mannan.
