Shaykh Sulayman al-Shahdawi, a blind Shafi'i reciter, taught at the Ahmadi mosque in Tanta. He took the readings from Mustafa al-Mihi; his students include Abd al-Mun'im al-Bandari and Mahmud Amir Murad al-Shibini. He died around 1284 AH.
