Umm al-Sa'd Muhammad Ali Najm was a blind Egyptian woman reader, born in al-Bandariyya (Tala, Menoufia) and based in Alexandria. She read the ten readings with Shaykha Nafisa bint Abi al-Ala, who licensed her at twenty-three, and taught for over half a century, licensing students from many countries, including her husband Muhammad Farid Nu'man.
