Sidi Ahmad al-Habib ibn Muhammad al-Lamti al-Sijilmasi was a scholar and Sufi of Sijilmasa in the Tafilalt who taught the Qur'an readings to many. He read with Ibrahim al-Sakuri, a student of Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Qadi, and his best-known student in the seven readings was Sidi Abdallah ibn Abi Bakr al-Tinwajiwi of Mauritania. He died in Sijilmasa and was buried in his house.
