Abu al-Abbas Ahmad al-Habib ibn Muhammad al-Lamati al-Sijilmasi, a Moroccan scholar and Sufi of Sijilmasa renowned for teaching the readings to many students. Sidi Abd Allah al-Tanwajiwi of Shinqit and his cousin Ahmad ibn Mubarak al-Lamati both read the seven readings with him. He died in 1165 AH and was buried at his home in Sijilmasa.
