Abu Abdallah Muhammad al-Fakhkhar was a Qur'an teacher in Fez who lived in the later eighth and early ninth Hijri centuries. He read the readings with Abu al-Abbas Ahmad al-Zawawi and passed them to Abu al-Abbas Ahmad al-Filali and others, making him a link in the Moroccan and Mauritanian recitation chains. An ijaza written by him is dated 803 AH.
