A Pakistani Qur'an reader born in a village near the Punjab who memorised the Qur'an young and studied in several Pakistani cities, reading the seven and ten readings, singly and combined, with Shaykh Habibullah Khan in Karachi. He moved to Mecca in 1397 AH and was appointed teacher of Qur'an and readings at Umm al-Qura University.
