A Qur'an reader of Afghan origin settled in Karachi, son of Hakim Ghulam Haydar al-Nasir al-Afghani, born 1317 AH. He taught the seven and ten readings in Karachi and trained a number of readers, and wrote Mudih al-Qira'at fi al-Sab' al-Mutawatirat, published by the Madrasa Tajwid al-Qur'an at the Faruqi Mosque, Karachi.
