Abu Hassan Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn al-Ash'ath al-Anazi of Baghdad, a skilled teacher of Qalun's transmission. He took it from Abu Nashit Muhammad ibn Harun, and Abu al-Husayn Ahmad ibn Uthman ibn Buyan was among his students. He died before the year 300.
