A walkthrough for an academy manager who needs to suspend their academy: finding the Close Now button on the Manage Academy page, understanding what happens to students and teachers when the academy is closed, and knowing how to reopen the academy when you are ready to resume.
Sign in to kuttab.com as an academy manager and open the Manage Academy page from your academy navigation. The subscription section shows your current plan highlighted with a blue border and the Close Now button at the bottom of the current plan card.
Scroll down to the plan comparison grid. Your active plan card shows a Close Now button in red. This button is only visible on your current active plan — other plan cards show the Switch or Upgrade action instead.
When you click Close Now, a confirmation prompt appears before anything changes. Confirming suspends the academy immediately: the public academy page is hidden, no new students can enrol, and new teacher invitations are disabled. Existing lessons and classes that are already scheduled are not cancelled — they continue until they are completed or manually removed.
After closing, every plan card on the Manage Academy page shows a Reopen Now button. Click Reopen Now on the plan you want to resume. If there is an outstanding balance from the previous billing cycle the platform will ask you to settle it before the academy goes live again. Once reopened your academy is immediately visible to students and accepting new enrolments.
