Shams al-Din Muhammad ibn Abd al-Rahman al-Zumurrudi al-Hanafi, known as Ibn al-Sa'igh, an Egyptian scholar of exegesis, grammar, language and literature. He read the readings with Taqi al-Din Muhammad ibn Ahmad al-Sa'igh and grammar with Abu Hayyan, served as military judge and taught at the Mosque of Ibn Tulun. Ibn al-Jazari read with him; his works include a commentary on Ibn Malik's Alfiyya.
