Biography

Abu al-Qasim Hibat Allah ibn Ahmad al-Hariri of Baghdad, known as Ibn al-Tabar, was a long-lived Qur'an reader and hadith narrator. Born on Ashura 435 AH, he read the transmissions with Abu Bakr Muhammad ibn Ali al-Khayyat and heard hadith from al-Barmaki and others. Taj al-Din al-Kindi read six transmissions with him and Ibn al-Jawzi narrated from him; he died in Baghdad in Jumada II 531 AH.
