Biography

A reliable Baghdad reader and hadith transmitter, named after Susanjird, a village near Baghdad. He took the readings from Zayd ibn Abi Bilal, Abd al-Wahid ibn Abi Hashim and others; Abu Bakr Muhammad ibn Ali al-Khayyat, Abu al-Fath ibn Shaytha and Ghulam al-Harras read to him. He died in Baghdad in Rajab 402 AH.
