Zayn al-Din al-Hasan ibn Abd al-Karim al-Ghumari, an Egyptian Maliki and grandson of the jurist Ziyada, was a long-lived Qur'an teacher. He heard from Muhammad ibn Umar al-Qurtubi the reciter among others, read the seven readings with students of Abu al-Jud, and taught in his home. He died in Egypt in Shawwal at the age of ninety-five.
