Sa'id Ahmad al-Anabtawi was a Palestinian reciter, born in 1927 in Hadatha near Tiberias, who lost his sight as a child. In Egypt (1942-1947) he read the ten major readings by the Tayyibat al-Nashr route with Muhammad Abd al-Nabi al-Rihawi. He was a muezzin at al-Aqsa, then an imam and Qur'an teacher in Beirut, Amman and Zarqa, and wrote Hilyat al-Qurra' on tajwid. He died in Zarqa, Jordan, on 22 July 1998.
