Abu Mu'awiya Ubayd ibn Nadla al-Khuza'i of Kufa, a trustworthy Successor. He read to Abdullah ibn Mas'ud and also to Alqama ibn Qays, and was the Qur'an teacher of Kufa in his time. Yahya ibn Waththab learned from him verse by verse and Humran ibn A'yan also read to him; Ibn Hibban counted him trustworthy and Muslim narrated from him. He died while Bishr ibn Marwan governed Kufa.
